This weekend would have marked our fourth Events Under Canvas Wedding Fair and to say we’re all sad that it’s not happening is an understatement. As Coronavirus takes its course, we’re all (understandably) staying in and staying safe.
We absolutely love this event. From all the organisers to the suppliers (yes, you!), to the times it’s rained and we’ve all taken it in turns to huddle around the heaters. We cannot wait to be back with our eco glitter bar – hopefully later on in the year – and if it rains, I promise I won’t complain!
So, on behalf of us all at Luxurious Glitter, I thought I’d have a break from pom-pom making (thanks to @fatpompoms for all the inspiration!) and have our own mini EUC wedding fair right here, on our blog.
Let me give you a little walkthrough from my mind and an insiders insight to a few of the wedding suppliers that we would have been showcasing our glitter bar alongside. I’ve linked in with all their Instagram accounts too, so please go give them all a follow and say a big hello!
EVENTS UNDER CANVAS
These guys are first up, of course! Events Under Canvas is a great open weekend with a really thought out selection of wedding suppliers. They pop up one of their sailcloth and tipi tents and fill it with amazing stands for all couples getting hitched. Not just for weddings, any event you need a tipi for, these are your guys.
CHLOE LEE PHOTOGRAPHY
What can I say about Chloe?! She’s our all-time fave! One of my besties, we met through a wedding fair four years ago and hit it off with our mutual love for Disney.
Chloe’s photos are incredible. She has shot many of our eco glitter shoots (our main brand image is by Chloe) and Ben and I had her shoot our own wedding in September 2019. Needless to say, the photos are magnificent! Chloe grabbed the day and was a pleasure to have at our wedding. Chloe’s got a flair for all things colourful and bright and if you happen to love Disney and Harry Potter, that’s an added bonus!
LUXURIOUS GLITTER BAR
That’s us, heyyy! We’d be there in our usual spot, next to Chloe, complimenting her colourful photography style with our vibrant collection of glitters and probably covering Chloe in glitter. For those of you that haven’t met us, we’re an eco glitter bar that adds the essential sparkle to your big day. We set up around party time with our selection of eco glitters, gems and paints to bring our professional festival glitter vibe to your evening.
CLARE LOUISE HAIR
I met Clare many years ago in my teaching years! Clare got into wedding hair a few years ago and is absolutely smashing it! She has a great romantic, relaxed, almost boho style. Clare’s always learning and trying new styles and is always pushing herself with new hair challenges.
VIVI EMELLISH BRIDAL
I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting the team at Vivi but their hair accessories look gorgeous. A beautiful collection of bridal combs, vines, pins and hairbands that would be perfect for relaxed bridal hair.
POLLY PICKLE DESIGN
If you’re a fan of stationery (as I am!), check out Polly Pickle Designs. You’ll get a fully bespoke stationery experience with some seriously gorgeous stationery for your big day. Think save the date cards, invitations, RSVPs and your information cards all customised to fit in with your theme.
LOVE THE GIN CADDY / PROSECCO O’CLOCK / QUEEN BEE COFFEE
Three essentials for your big day, we think! The gin caddy is a really cute little drinks truck full of gins and mixes and the gals that run it are always super friendly. You can enjoy a sample (or two) at the fair and they’ve got a few packages for you to get involved with on your big day, including welcome drinks and even a minibar.
Prosecco O’Clock offer similar packages but with, you guessed it, prosecco!
Not everyone is game for alcohol though and this is where we have Queen Bee Coffee. From their wonderful mobile coffee van, they serve barista-crafted, quality hot and cold drinks.
GATHER & FEAST EVENTS / EDWARD JAMES EVENTS & CATERING
We all love wandering around the food and drink carts at wedding fairs and these ones are exceptional, if we don’t say so ourselves!
Gather & Feast promise unforgettable food with their selection of four-course feasts, roasts and range of sharing boards with some really delicious samples for you to try out.
Edward James Events similarly offer a great selection of food and are at the fair with their delicious pizza truck that I can personally vouch for. They have a great selection of hand-crafted pizzas and their dairy-free options are just yum!
BS CAKE CREATION / WENDY WONDER CAKES
It’s over to the cake stalls and these ladies have the most amazing selection of wedding cakes. From naked cakes to novelty – they have got wedding cakes covered.
KELSIE LOW PHOTOGRAPHY
British Wedding Photographer of the year 2018, Kelsie Low is up next. Kelsie’s photography style is simply stunning. Her photos are relaxed, free-spirited and boho with beautiful warm tones.
AMELIA & ALICE BRIDAL / SASH & VEIL
The Amelia & Alice bridal boutique is also at the fair showcasing their beautiful, stunning dress collection. Classic ivory dresses and some with an alternative twist - their collection of dresses are just gorgeous.
All hail the veil queens! Right next to Amelia & Alice, you’ll find Sasha & Veil with their collection of dreamy veils and headdresses – all handmade and bespoke to your needs.
STARRY EYE WEDDINGS / WILDERNESS PROP HIRE / I LOVED THAT
Looking for someone to style up your tipi or sailcloth tent? Then these guys are for you. They create stunning décor for your tables and tents to really wow your guests. Their romantic décor is just perfect for any weddings.
Wilderness Prop Hire are next, showcasing their bright, colourful backdrops, stands for your photos, candlestick holders, glass wear, all essential signage and so much more. You really need to check them out to see their full collection.
I Loved That is there for you to check out, too. Run by Sophia, they have a fab selection of stunning flower arches, moon arches, floral backdrops and VW car hire, to boot. Perfect for your photos.
REMEMBERIES / DONIMO MAGIC
And last but not least, we have some wedding entertainment in the form of the incredible Rememberies. This guy is a superb DJ and I can say that, as we had him at our wedding! Will’s repertoire of music and style will get your guests glued to the dancefloor and he has extras available on his packages including sax players, a photo booth, light letters and signs.
And to top it all off, to keep your guests entertained, is the great Donimo Magic. He’ll keep your crowd going with his easy manner and awesome selection of card tricks and magic.
